The Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM) had recently proposed that beginning Aug. 1, 2018, long-term care facilities would be responsible for arranging and paying for non-emergency transportation (NET) services for their residents and list those costs on their cost reports for reimbursement.
The implementation of this change has been postponed until Feb. 1, 2019, the operational go-live date for DOM’s new NET contract. Until then, DOM encourages long-term care facilities to arrange all NET services through DOM’s non-emergency transportation broker, MTM.
