State Plan Amendment (SPA) 20-0008 Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Services, effective August 1, 2020, is being submitted to allow the Division of Medicaid to:
- Clarify the different types of encounters and when reimbursement is made for more than one encounter performed on the same day,
- Add requirements for FQHC mobile units,

State Plan Amendment (SPA) 19-0021 Pediatric Congenital Heart Surgery, which included the coverage requirements for out-of-state pediatric congenital heart surgery, was disapproved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) on April 8, 2020.

SPA 18-0008 Rehabilitation Option
The Division of Medicaid has requested to formally withdraw MS State Plan Amendment (SPA) 18-0008 Rehabilitation Option. SPA 18-0008 had been submitted to allow the Division of Medicaid to refer to the Mississippi Department of Mental Health’s (DMH’s) Operational Standards for specific qualifications of practitioners/individuals and allow Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services to be provided and reimbursed through a Community Mental Health Center/Private Mental Health Center (CMHC/PMHC) facility. This withdrawal is due to the following: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) (1) not approving the removal of the requested language for the specific qualifications of practitioners/individuals and (2) not approving the request to include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services in the Rehabilitation Option SPA pages.

SPA 14-015 Pharmacy Reimbursement
This State Plan Amendment is being submitted to allow the Division of Medicaid to revise the payment methodology for prescription drugs at point-of-sale (POS) pharmacies to reflect average acquisition costs (AAC) effective July 1, 2014. This SPA will enable the Division of Medicaid to be in compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and 42 CFR §§ 447.502, 447.512
SPA 14-005 Treatment Foster Care Services
This State Plan Amendment (SPA) 14-005 Treatment Foster Care is being submitted to provide intensive and supportive services to individuals up to the age of twenty one (21) in the Department of Human Services (DHS) custody with significant medical, developmental, emotional, or behavioral needs who, with additional resources, could remain in a family or integrated community setting and achieve positive growth and development. This SPA was disapproved by CMS on Oct. 14, 2014.
SPA 2014-001 340B Providers
This State Plan Amendment (SPA) 2014-001 340B Providers, effective July 1, 2014, is being submitted to comply with Sec. 340B of the Public Health Service Act (Pub.
