The Offices of Long Term Care and Mental Health are responsible for administering activities related to Medicaid long term services and supports rendered in institutional settings including nursing facilities (NFs), intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (ICF/IDDs) and psychiatric residential treatment facilities (PRTFs).

MESA Implementation Resources

General
The transition from the Conduent (Envision) system to the Gainwell (MESA) system is scheduled for 10/3/2022.  For ongoing updates and resources related to the implementation, please visit the below implementation updates link.  Prior to following the below Training or EDI instructions, we also encourage providers to “whitelist” or “mark safe” the Gainwell email addresses so that your email server does not automatically mark their emails to you as Spam or Junk.  Those instructions are linked as a PDF below.

MESA Training
All providers are encouraged to start by getting set up in the Gainwell Learning Management System (LMS) using the instructions linked below.  This includes providers whose claims are currently submitted automatically from Medikey to the fiscal agent.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Trading Partners
If you submit EDI batch claims currently as a trading partner or through a clearinghouse, you will also want to check out the EDI Registration/Testing link below.

Access to the Provider Web Portal
Once the new MESA provider portal goes live on 10/3/22, you will need to register for access utilizing your provider information.  More information about that process will be forthcoming on the linked webpage and in the LMS.
