Inpatient Transition Information

The Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM) is preparing to roll inpatient services into our managed care program, MississippiCAN. We are working closely with our MississippiCAN coordinated care organizations, Magnolia Health and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, to clarify changes impacting providers and hospitals, and ensure the transition goes as smoothly as possible. This transition is set to be effective Dec. 1, 2015.

As a valued Medicaid provider, we have set up a series of webinars giving an overview of the inpatient transition, the impact on behavioral health and newborn issues. Rolling inpatient services into managed care will change claims submission and other procedures.
