Office of Client Relations

The Office of Client Relations is split into three main divisions; Beneficiary Relations Division, Provider Relations Division and the Central Communications Center.

Beneficiary Relations Division
This division has the responsibility of working in the DOM Call Center  as customer service specialist to handle calls (related to Medicaid programs, covered services, Medicaid eligibility, application processing, how to find a Medicaid enrolled provider, service limits, etc.) from beneficiaries, elected Officials and the general public.  Additionally, assigned staff in this division travel the entire state (as they are invited) participating in workshops, seminars, health fairs and other type meetings to educate beneficiaries, the general public and health care related professionals about the Medicaid program.  Staff in this division also manage DOM’s Language Line (for limited English speaking applicants) and Deaf Services (for sensory impaired applicants) contracts as required by federal regulations and to ensure there is no discrimination with dealing with any Medicaid applicant.

Provider Relations Division
This division has the responsibility of conducting one-on-one provider office visits for claims issue resolution, making unannounced provider site visits, participating in and conducting provider workshops to educate providers on Medicaid policies, procedures and practices.  Additionally, the provider specialist communicate with healthcare providers and professional medical associations in order to maintain a strong and viable relationship as well as to serve as a liaison for the providers in resolving claims issues and other Medicaid concerns.

Central Communications Center (Switchboard)
This division has the responsibility of receiving and directing calls for the entire agency (the central office and 30 Medicaid Regional Offices), to ensure that all callers are promptly directed to the correct staff and/or Office to have the caller’s concerns addressed in a timely manner.
