Medicaid and Human Services Transparency and Fraud Prevention Act

The Medicaid and Human Services Transparency and Fraud Prevention Act, which was passed during the 2017 legislative session, directed the Division of Medicaid to partner with the Department of Human Services to conduct enhanced identity and asset verification for all applications for benefits and to share information between agencies.  The legislation also revised various provisions relating to eligibility monitoring in the Medicaid program and imposed various new reporting mandates.
