Pharmacy providers required to report pharmacy permit renewals to MS Medicaid

Pharmacy providers are required to obtain a pharmacy permit from the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy for businesses or locations where pharmacy services are provided, and they must renew that permit with the Board on a biennial basis. Mississippi Medicaid-enrolled pharmacy providers who have a deadline of Dec. 31, 2019, to renew their pharmacy permits with the Board should be aware that they are also required to report that renewal to the Mississippi Division of Medicaid’s (DOM) fiscal agent, Conduent. Please be advised that if this expiration date is not reported to Conduent, pharmacy claims for Medicaid beneficiaries will deny on January 1, 2020 and thereafter.

In order to ensure that both the pharmacy and the associated durable medical equipment (DME) provider numbers are updated correctly, DOM requires providers to include the name of pharmacy and/or pharmacy DME, their Mississippi Medicaid provider identification number (NPI), and a copy of the pharmacy renewal.

Providers are asked to report their pharmacy renewal information to Conduent’s Provider Enrollment Department by Dec. 31, 2019, in one of the following ways:

  • By faxing it to 888-495-8169;
  • By emailing it to providerenrollment@conduent.com;
  • Via traditional mail at Conduent Provider Enrollment Department, PO Box 2380, Jackson MS, 39225.
